SKILLS
Photoshop is King. I do most of the cool stuff in Photoshop and it is, by far, my favorite application to use.
I've been using Macintosh computers since System 7. I use them for both work and play so, I know my way around the Mac OS really well—so much that I'm the "go to guy" for many of my friends and family. I do use Parallels Desktop to run Windows 7 & 8 as well, mostly for PC based PowerPoint projects.
Like many designers, I started my career using PageMaker and Freehand to lay out content. I later used Multi-Ad Creator and Quark but it wasn't until 2006 when InDesign became the tool of choice for composing my print work and generating interactive publications.
I mainly use Illustrator when creating two-dimensional logos and art work such as icons. I also use it to create and/or modify die lines for packaging and print pieces that require unique die cutting.
I've been using DPS for a few years now. Although I have not had an opportunity to publish anything just yet, I've built a handful of POCs for clients and colleagues. So be sure to check out the samples and video demos featured in my digital work.
I've been using Keynote since its public debut in 2003 and I've since created many presentations using this tool. I also use Keynote to create animation sequences to be imported into DPS publications and other video projects.
Obviously not a design tool but over the years I've developed a descent level of proficiency in the Office suite. I use Excel regularly for project management, PowerPoint for PC based presentations, and Word strictly for setting up letterhead templates for client use.
I use ScreenFlow for light video production and editing, screen recording for tutorial creation (Camtasia), and even when producing goofy home videos of my kids.
